Mr. Karpel is a Professor in the Department of Criminology and Justice Studies, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at California State University, Northridge. He is also a regular adjunct instructor for several Criminal Justice Department’s teaching courses in Criminology, Criminal Procedure, Criminal Investigations, Criminal Law, White Collar Crime, and Legal Ethics.
Mr. Karpel is also a licensed Private Investigator and has managed and directed complex trial matters with experts and investigators for over a decade. He has further extensive experience with high profile and complex investigations and has acquired training in interview techniques and police procedures.
His vast experience with investigations and his regular, proactive use of investigators has played a huge role in the tremendous results he has acquired. He has experience working for the United States Attorney's Office—Department of Justice in Washington D.C., the Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office, and the County Jail in the Own Recognizance Unit. Mr. Karpel is a member of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, Criminal Law Section and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Criminal Law Section.
